Don't Train like the Best Players
Wait, what?
To be more like Nathan Mackinnon,
you have to NOT do his workouts.
Wait, what?
Let me break it down.
The catch is, every workout designed for MacKinnon is tailored to him individually. It's not a one-size-fits-all scenario. So, why on earth would you do something that isn't made for you?
Individual workouts are the secret sauce for making the most progress in the shortest amount of time. Everyone has their own weak links, and addressing those is the key to unlocking your full potential!
For me, it was all about lateral movement, agility, the first 5 steps, low back, hips, and upper body strength. While a conventional "Nathan MacKinnon" workout might yield some results, it leaves gains on the table by not targeting the areas specific to me and me alone. This principle applies to you too.
Now, don't get me wrong – copying their movements is a different story, and has worked INCREDIBLY well. We're talking about training their exact exercises and on-ice drills. When I focused on different exercises that not only got me better results but also worked on my weakest links, I started moving like the great players.
No magic here, just good old self-development. And guess what? This system works for anyone willing to put in the work.
