What Personal Training taught me about Hockey Training Part 1

Everyone has Different Needs for their Specific Goals

Hey Hockey Hacks Community

Let's dive into a topic that's been brewing in my mind for quite some time – the parallels between personal training and hockey training. It's fascinating how the quest to master human movement unveils similar principles, wouldn't you agree?

In fact, I've gleaned so much insight from this journey that I've decided to turn it into a series, and you're diving into post #1 right now.

Here's the scoop – no two training plans are exactly alike. Every individual I've trained has required specific adjustments tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.

Now, here's the kicker – despite everyone doing similar exercises (yes, the same ones I do, just at their own levels), clients still manage to turn relatability into a hurdle. It's a bit amusing, considering that any trainer who practices what they preach belongs to a special league of their own. After all, the notion of "Those who can't do, teach" is nothing but a fallacy.

Hockey players thrive on training that is specific and individualized to their needs. Sure, you can make progress with a generic program or system, akin to what many hockey training camps or online programs offer (including my own, albeit at a lower price for a reason).

But let me tell you, the real breakthroughs happen when you focus on your own weak links and areas needing improvement. You're no different from me in this regard. So why settle for a program or camp designed for everyone else when your goal is to surpass them all?

The difference with customized coaching is nothing short of extraordinary!
